Career history

Chef & Owner: K Kitchen, Bangkok, Thailand (2005 – 2015)
A small restaurant in Bangkok catering to an international clientele offering a wide variety of cuisine from across Asia.

Chef : Yokohama, Japan (2000 – 2005)
Chef at a Yokohama restaurant specializing in a variety of Thai food and international cuisine, as well as mentor, trainer and culinary educator.


A passionate, professionally trained chef, with 15 years of experience. Kanlaya specializes in a wide variety of cuisines from traditional Thai to Japanese home cooking. Kanlaya recently took a course in Thai food carving and loves learning and teaching other’s. Kanlaya graduated from the  Cooking College in Japan in 2000. Kanlaya started her own restaurant in Bangkok in 2005 specializing in International Cuisine. Early in 2016, Kanlaya participated in a chef exchange program and taught Thai cooking to Chef’s in the Czech Republic and Austria. Most recently, she has been doing a series of education seminars in Los Angeles.
